Granitex Color-Chip System I

Multi-colored vinyl chips embedded in pigmented epoxy and sealed with a single coat of clear finish. Chips give the look of terrazzo, granite or hard surface carpet. Special combination of polymers allows for a 2-day application. Finished flooring gives a beautiful multi-colored appearance.

"Orange Peel" texture provides slip-resistance. Commercial uses include classrooms, offices, store fronts, cafeterias, clean rooms and bathrooms. Residentially, the product is ideal for garage floors, recreation rooms and kitchens.

Product Description

APF Epoxy 550 - A modified Bisphenol A epoxy resin crosslinked with aliphatic amines. Epoxy 550 is formulated with high pigment loading for excellent substrate hide in a one coat application. This material is formulated with low odor glycol ether solvents that are considerably less hazardous than conventional aromatic or ketone solvents. Must be applied at 150 - 250 sq. ft. per gallon over profiled concrete to obtain adequate substrate hide.

Polyurethane 100 Clear - A two component, high solids aliphatic polyurethane. This product offers a remarkable combination of performance properties not found in other polymer coatings. Polyurethane 100 produces protective films which are hard, flexible and very impact resistant. These coatings feature high abrasion and scratch resistance, exterior durability, easy soil release and excellent resistance to a broad range of chemicals.

Clear Floor Finishes

Option 1

Polyurethane 250 Clear - 2 coats. Apply first coat with P-250 Clear (regular) and apply second coat with P-250 Clear (regular or satin).

APF Polyurethane 250 - A two component, low viscosity acrylic urethane. It is used as a primer/sealer over a variety of surfaces. The use of special solvents and adhesion promoters gives this material ecellent penetration and adhesion to minimally profiled concrete. P-250 is UV stable for use in exterior applications, cures rapidly and is easily recoated with both solvent-based and water-based polyurethanes.

Solid Content by Weight: 38%.
Recoat Time: 90 minutes. Light Traffic: 4 hours. Vehicle Traffic: 3 days.

Option 2

1st coat -- APF Polyurethane 250 Clear

A two component, low viscosity acrylic urethane. It is used as a primer/sealer over a variety of surfaces. The use of special solvents and adhesion promoters gives this material ecellent
penetration and adhesion to minimally profiled concrete. P-250 is UV stable for use in exterior applications, cures rapidly and is easily recoated with both solvent-based and water-based polyurethanes.

Solid Content by Weight: 38%.
Recoat Time: 90 minutes. Light Traffic: 4 hours. Vehicle Traffic: 3 days.

2nd coat -- APF Polyurethane 100

A two component saturated polyester cross linked with aliphatic polyisocyanate. This product offers remarkable combination of performance properties not found in other polymer coatings. Polyurethane 100 produces protective films which a re hard, flexible and very impact resistant. For exterior applications, a U.V. stabilizer package is incorporated to insure long term chalk resistance and gloss retention. This coating is ideally suited for clean-room floors, automotive repair facilities, aircraft hangars and high wear areas requiring resistance to fuels and chemicals.

Recoat Time: 10-12 hours. Light Traffic: 24 hours. Full Cure: 7 days.

 

Pigmented Floor Finishes

1st coat -- APF Epoxy 100

A two component modified Bisphenol A epoxy resin cross linked with a water soluble amine adduct. This material cures blush free over a wide range of temperatures and adheres tenaciously to a variety of substrates including damp or wet concrete. This epoxy formulation has a 25 year history of success as a concrete coating. Epoxy 100 is recommended for sealing warehouse and factory floors, coating automotive repair facilities, residential garage floors and for many other commercial and industrial maintenance applications.

Solids Content by Weight: 51%
Recoat Time: 12-18 hours. Light Traffic 18-24 hours. Full cure 7 days.

A two component saturated polyester cross linked with aliphatic polyisocyanate. This product offers remarkable combination of performance properties not found in other polymer coatings. Polyurethane 100 produces protective films which a re hard, flexible and very impact resistant. Double Broadcast System I

Aggregate-filled epoxy flooring is a combination of low viscosity, 100% solids epoxy resin and different types of aggregate filler. These materials form a seamless, monolithic flooring system suitable for many heavy use areas. Broadcast aggregate is usually 20-30 mesh silica, Monterey type sand or decorative color quartz. Double broadcast floors usually achieve a somewhat more uniform appearance and are the floors of choice for commercial applications where aesthetics is an important consideration. Surface texture can be varied from aggresively slip-resistant for wet areas such as showers and food preparation areas to an "orange peel" moppable texture suitable for offices, hallways or laboratories.

Product Description

APF Epoxy 400 - A low viscosity, 100% solids resin system. Modified Bisphenol A epoxy resin crosslinked with aliphatic and cycloaliphatic polyamines. This material cures blush-free and provides an outstanding balance of physical strength, flexibility and chemical resistance. Epoxy 400 has considerably lower viscosity than most competitive products providing improved handling at cooler temperatures and the lower viscosity allows for the addition of silica fillers for easy application of "slurry" type floors.

Solids Content: 100%
Cure Time: Dry to Touch 6 hours. Light Traffic 16 hours. Full Cure 7 days.
